I have used update with 6.1 with no problems but I suspect that update had some
difficulty with the rpm name. Your previous version of netscape was
netscape-common-xxxx.rpm and the new crypto version is netscape-128-common-xxxx.rpm
(same for netscape-communicator and netscape-navigator. When I saw this I suspected a
problem updating so I first downloaded the new files then as root
rpm -e netscape-common netscape-communicator netscape-navigator
This completely removes netscape including navigator which was installed by the
original install script.
The rpm -ivh netscape-128-common-4.72-1mdk.rpm
netscape-128-communicator-4.72-1mdk.rpm
You do not need to install navigator since its part of the other two.

Check rpm -q netscape-128-common and see what you get. If nothing then just do an rpm
install. I don't remember where update stores your new rpm's but if you can't find
them just ftp them from a mirror and go for it.

Update usually works, I suspect the name change in the rpm is causing the problem
(are you listening Mandrake?)
