Hello Benjamin,
I installed the new RealPlayer7 Beta on a Mandrake 7 box yesterday.
Also after uninstalling the G2 Player. I am running Netscape 4.7

Originally there was only one entry:
netscape/edit/preferences/navigator/applications/
RealAudio /usr/bin/realplay %s

        I went into: netscape/edit/preferences/navigator/applications/
and then found the entrys for:
RealPlayer
applications/smil
audio/vnd.rn-realaudio
some of these entrys were lacking the
trailing space and %s
at the end of their statements

for example:
/usr/bin/X11/realplay %s

this will fix some of your problems.
I don't have the plug in part where I understand it yet.

---------------------
Also I don't like the fact that you can't bookmark sites in the
RealPlayer7 like you could in the G2 Player. The 7 saves sites to a
webpage @ real's site .. not sure I like that. I often use
http://www.penguinradio.com/ to find stations I like and save to return
to at a later time. The idea of having to create my own index and text
file don't turn me on. It was working ... now it's fixed ?? Humm we'll
wait and see.
I plan to reinstall it and see if they can coexist, with some fiddling.
And also hope there isn't some kind of time bomb running for the G2
version.
As to the adding rpm to the sufix's list for the player ... I was
unsure of that and didn't try it. It was way to late in the nite for
experimentation. My first instinct was that it wouls open rpm's I was
reying to download and try to play them with RP7 ... don't think that
wouls work. I'm a control freak .. I'll put up with 2-3 extra steps to
have total control over what happens. Otherwise .. why not go back to
windoz?
