I used SO before and after Sun took over. There were no changes
in the license concerning this issue (as far as I as a legal
layman can understand).

I have two users on my stand-alone box. Each has a Office51/work
folder in his home-dir. None of them can read the other's files
except those which are stored in a different folder which is
world-readable.
