Since Kernel 2.X.Y, ncpfs is included in the kernel, so that you don't have
to get it separately and compile it.

You just have to check 'Yes' for ncpfs support when you recompile your
kernel.
Regarding precisely "nw-auth", I don't know at all.
For me, it has worked correctly! ;-)
