I've been waiting until the 1.6 release to recommend this, but since you ask
I'll tell you that I'm fairly new with Linux, and I've settled on CSC Mail as
my client.
No Linux purist will like it, because you miss out on all the fun that pine,
mutt, exim, fetchmail, sendmail, and postfix (I'm sure I left some out) will
give you. <g>
CSC Mail does it all: fetch-display-send, and it has lots of nice features. I
particularly like the way it provides for multiple accounts without users
having to log in separately to Linux. That way my daughter can quickly check
and reply to her email... and it provides a custom signature for her messages.
The program is under very active development with a team of developers and
users conspiring to make this an excellent program. An active email list
provides a medium of communication for the team.
The current stable release, 1.4, will give you a look at the program, but
unfortunately, to see the program in its finest fashion, you have to get
involved with CVS updating. Hopefully, 1.6 will be released soon, and a
terrific program will be available. Visit the home page at:
