Nope. What Netscape released was a code fork. They stripped out a lot of
proprietary code from other vendors -- stuff they couldn't release -- and
replaced it with in-house replacements. Mozilla is completely
non-proprietary and open, Netscape 4.x is partially outsourced
proprietary. In Netscape, go to "Help->About Communicator" to get an idea.
Once Mozilla is ready for prime time, perhaps Linux disties will go with
that, John will have a legitimate beef.
