Hi,

could the one who recommended Spruce 0.6.2 tell me how s/he managed
to compile it with glib1.3?

(Note : according to the spruce FAQ a bug in glib < 1.2.7 causes it to
hang when closing the composer-window)

I tried various combinations of the gtk/glib packages from
Mandrake and they'd either not work at all (gtk/glib1.26 fully replaced
by the 1.3 version) or compile (any other combination of the two versions
coexisting) but still depend on glib 1.2x .....

Or asked in a more general way : How can I manage to have a gtk/glib
( > 1.2.6 ) installation.that will cause each new program to compile with
the new version, while still providing 1.2.6 for old programs ?

thanks for any help,
Volker
