I've been trying to get ssh1 and ssh2 to work together this week. I had ssh1
to and from my box working fine. I've installed openssh (freessh? can't rember
the name) and the one from www.ssh.org. Both of those worked fine. Read the
Quick Install guide in the source directory, that will tell you where to make
a few modifications in the ssh2 configuration for ssh2/ssh1 compatability. I
still had some problem afterwords, but wasn't able to test the problems too
well. I could only test connections from a windows machine at work into my box
across campus. I couldn't test two linux boxes connecting two and from to
determine whether or not it was a problem with the windows client. Even
without ssh1 installed I had problems last time I tried to get ssh2 installed,
but again, couldn't test it well enough to determine if the problem was the
windows client. But check the compatability guide to see if there might be
something you missed
