Andrew, I finally got my CMI8330 sound chip working. In short, follow the kernel docs, but remove the soundblaster and joystick sections, and put the modules stuff in the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file (once again, omitting the soundblaster line). Bios is still set to pnp os, so win95 works ok. Let me know if this does it for you please. Trevor
