Hello all!

I have an Epson 740 printer which has both parallel and usb ports available, I'm using the parallel port right now but would like to switch over to the usb port.  I know that the latest stable kernel already has pretty good support for usb and I was wondering if anybody could give me an idea what the best route to take to get that working?  At this time, I don't have an entry in my /dev folder for usb devices, so I can't just point printtool there; is it a matter of downloading the cooker /dev tree or recompiling my kernel or both (or neither)?

Thanks in advance!

p.s. I'm using Netscape 6 to write this, so far I'm impressed!  I have used M14 and it wasn't quite as smooth; this does have a ways to go, but I think Netscape has finally moved in the right direction! :-)
