Tom, A "cat" as you know, shows me what we both know: "pab.na2" is indeed the file Netscape uses to store our address info. This file allows us to address our mail when using the Netscape email client. I have this file, and I believe I have it saved to the right directory, "/root/.netscape" Now my question is why can I not use my address book when sending emai from within Netscape. Selecting the address book kills my entire Netscape session, browser and all. I have checked the treads (ps -aux), and all Netscape daemons are a goner. At this point, I must re-initiate a new session. I know this seems a small issue but it is driving me nuts because I can not solve it. I have been looking in such remote places as "/usr/share/apps/kdisplay/app-defaults" and "/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults". It all looks in order. After re-compiling my kernal to accommadate for my ATI P-Mobilty video chip, I am getting my butt kicked with Netscape. Since you are the only one responding, please do me a large favor: You are using v4.72 right? Tell me, does your address functionality work, and would you be so kind as to pipe, while in "/ " directory, the output of a "find . -names *netscape* to a file, and send it to me. If you would do this, you can use my personal email address. If you do or don't, still a big thanks to you.................. Craig Woods Tom Berkley wrote: > I do not know.
