Hmn... well, you might try Adobe Framemaker (as I mentioned earlier on
the list). Apparently there is now a Linux beta available (and as a note
to others: Framemaker was originally a Unix app, it was ported to
Windows) and it already runs in Solaris.

It's *excellent* for large documents.
