Alan,

I know the IP and I know where the question came from. Neither is bogus.
If the question is a hoax, then a lot of good people have been duped. I
don't know JServe from a bridge convention, personally, but I do take
this list and its respondents seriously. I fess up to sending the wrong
stuff to the list occassionally.. but I would never post a question like
this if I thought it didn't deserve consideration.  

If you are suspicious, contact the writer. Maybe not all folks know it's
important to write the distro version correctly? I know I didn't.
