I've been using 1024x768 on my SiS 6326 since RedHat 5.2, with few problems. A
few things you might try:

1) Specify the RAM amount. If you have more than 4Mb, specify 4Mb, as the XFree
driver only supports 4Mb (I Believe).

2) Specify a lower colour depth, try 8bpp (256 colours) and see if that works.

3) try software cursor.

I'm running Mdk 7.0-2 now, so I can't send you my exact settings. Upgrading to
Ver 7.0-2 will give better functionallity with the SiS 6326, as Xfree 3.3.6
supports it better.
