it should work no problem--the README gives great instructions.

about scsi: just make a link from your real device (e.g. /dev/scd0) to
something like /dev/cdrw so it's easier to remember.  you'd do this as
root:

ln -s /dev/scd0 /dev/cdrw

assuming that scd0 is your rewriter.
