Ok, I was able to get to both www.nec.com and www.wellsfargo.com and to
get to the links therein.

I was accessing them using IE5 under Windows 98,
on our home LAN, using my old laptop as an IP Masqerader / Firewall.
The firewall's external ethernet card connects to a cable modem
(RoadRunner).

It is running Mandrake Linux 7.0, and I set up the Maquerade and
Firewall using the directions in the masquerading and firewall how-tos.

So it all works great for me (in fact, it was one of the least painful
things I've done in terms of going into totally new territory and
getting predictable results immediately and good results fairly soon).

So . . . we'll need to see more of your setup, I think.
Or you might consider upgrading to 7.0 on the server.
