as root, "chmod +s /usr/bin/cdrecord" (or wherever cdrecord
is on your machine.) I had no problems with my SCSI cd
recorder being used as a CDROM *and* CDR/W in Mandrake 6.0.
It may be a problem with the SCSI emulation.
