My setup: Mandrake 7 Complete kernel version 2.2.14-15mdk on Pentium III
450MHz

Regardless of the software and protocol I use (Netscape Nav., gFTP,
/usr/bin/ftp), I can't seem to download large files on my linux box. Web
pages download fine, faster than my Win98 installation. But I've tried
to download the latest build of apache from
AdvancedExtranet/NetRevolution and it always hangs (stalls) at 25-30k. I
have no problem downloading via Windows. I've rulled out the server
discriminating against non-MS clients cuz it's on an apache server. My
ISP's sysadmin said it might be the kernel needs a patch. I was
wondering if any of you had heard about this and know what I could do.

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.
