Very true.  Because both distributions do things different ways, security
concerns on one may not be entirely valid on the other.  But I think being
aware of what RedHat announces and checking Mandrake will make users of
Mandrake feel more comfort.  Ie. if a notice comes out and MandrakeSoft
then assures us that it has been looked into but doesn't affect Mandrake,
or an updated version becomes available.  A response of some sort would go
a long way in assuring users of Mandrake that the developers are checking
on these reports.  I would almost go so far as to say that any distro that
announces a security concern should be taken as a cross-correlation for
the Mandrake distro.

I'm sure that a few of the MandrakeSoft folks will make their way onto the
mailing list.  They'll want to make sure that we're all behaving ourselves
