Hey there ...  Been a while...

That message reads as if he's really running RH and thinking it is
Mandrake, but if he is running Mandrake...

has

mrtg-2.8.9-3mdk.i586.rpm

as a ready-to-go binary.  I do not know if it is staticly linked or
not.  If it is, then it should run regardless of library.
