Greet's,

Finally got all the parts for my new Athlon system in and was wondering
how best to do this next part.

What are the benefits of a "server" install .vs. "developement" and
"recommended"?

I'd like to use my new machine for a server and enable NIS/NFS to
centralize my home network so that all users get their prefered settings
etc. I also plan to configure all users to have access through my DSL
modem via a separate firewall/gateway machine and was wondering if it is
necessary to set the security levels to something stronger than "low" -
figured that the firewall should be able to keep out prying eyes.

All suggestions welcome.

TIA
