Hmmmm,
Source rpms can be installed readily--if the author will allow
source rpms to be packaged for distribution or at least tar
packages with the correct dependency info, then....
# rpm -bpci <package spec>
or
# rpm -tpci <tarred_packagespec>
could put qmail into the distro with a binary only AFTER install.
