I know Mandrake 7.1 is about to come out, but I hope Mandrake's
developers are still taking this into consideration.
1) During the graphical installation, we can choose amongst several
languages as interface language. However, when Chinese (Big5) is
chosen, the characters aren't displayed correctly. It seems that the
proper font file can't be found/ isn't loaded.
2) There're several TTF for Chinese characters (both simplified and
traditional Chinese). The only application with which I can display
Chinese is Netscape. When I open a page in Chinese, things aren't
displayed correctly. Maybe a problem in encodage, or a mix-up in
traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese.
3) I've installed xcin (btw, it's not available during install
phase. I had to find it in the directory and installed it
afterwards), but it can't be run.
If you need more info, I will give it to you as soon as I have
reinstalled Linux-Mandrake in my new HD.
Thanks in advance.
