Darcy....execute these two lines as root.  Theis should enable
masquerading, if masquerading was previously not enabled this
is probably why you cannot ping past the linux box from your
workstations.  Are they linux workstations?  If not you may
also have some issues not settled with the windows setup as
well.  Anyway, if the below lines work you can add them to the
end of your rc.local file for automatic execution on bootup.

ipchains -P forward DENY
ipchains -A forward -i ppp0 -j MASQ
