Nope...
Go here
ftp://ftp.linux.tucows.com/pub/distribution/Mandrake/Mandrake-devel/contrib/RPMS
and then you can DL the rpms.
Also look at www.kde.org/kde1-and-kde2.html--you need to do a few
things to make it work. And read the archives of Cooker for some
KDE2 insights and the way to handle it as another window
manager. Search on KDE2 and you will find an excellent script
that someone wrote (I was headed the same direction and he saved
me a great deal of time).
Konqueror will open some sites that cause Netscape to choke, but
it is still beta.
I have used it successfully for ecommerce (yeh, Javascript and
all).
Note that every four weeks or so there will be a new beta out
until September, and it will be in the Mandrake mirrors quickly.
Note also that Chris Molnar does a build independent of the BETA
from the cvs which is still more up to date. Usually this is at
ftp://us.mandrakesoft.com/pub/kde
To install binaries you will need to DL and install openssl (can
be done in the 7.1 install procedure) and a very recent version
of qt.. I think 2.1.0 or higher, but it is IN 7.1--no hassle.
And remember it is BETA and that every now and then a little
Green Dragon is gonna pop up with a message asking you if you
want to submit a bug report, because you just encountered a
SIGSEGV (signal 11) at no extra charge.
