Have you by any chance upgraded the BIOS in the machine? I am using one of
these boxes with Win98SE and I'm experiencing MAJOR problems. Some issues
include video corruption in MS Word 2000 and IE 5.01, an inability to
upgrade the Intel video drivers from 1.1 (shipped) to 4.1 (current), odd DLL
error messages, keyboard lockups, etc. My starting point is going to be to
upgrade the BIOS and see if some of these problems disappear.

I am using a BookPC which has intel 810 video. Mandrake 7.1 configured this
system like magic except for one problem I am having with the bottom part of
my desktop simply gone. Enough is missing to make the use of some buttons
not appearing.
I don't know if the problem is the monitor configuration because my monitor
is not on the list. But regardless of which monitor configuration I use the
bottom of windows are cut off.
