First, we do a rpm -ba --target i586 package.
The manual pages are also bzipped to save space
On most packages, we add the "Mandrake Touch": menu items in all window
managers, icons, and we make sure everything is integrated and ready to
use.

20% less performance, having to edit configuration files, problems while
upgrading, library conflicts... It's not the end of the world. But having
a Mandrake Package makes it easier.
