[expert] "locate" command core dumps

I have a mandrake 7.1 setup, and ever since I upgraded, "locate" core dumps. I
do run "updatedb" 3x a week via cron.

Anyone have any idea why this happens? I also mentioned earlier that XF86Setup
core dumps too. Thanks.
