Hello ...
I'm a newbie with LINUX and I was installing MDK 7.0 on my desktop
computer but the installation hangs up after the message: "Loading Second
RAM Disk ..." just before the GUI installation of Mandrake ...
Here are the specs of the computer:
Pentium III - 550e
32 MB RAM
8 GB with 3 partitions:
hda1 - (2 GB) contains Windoze 98
hda2 - (3 GB) supposed to contain the MDK LINUX after-install
hda3 - (3 GB) contains the MDK LINUX 7.0 installer ... I am
only installing via Hard Disk and not CD ROM ...
Is there a problem with my FDISK (Windoze version) partitioning ??
Should I follow the 1024 cylinder thing for the LILO ... is that why it
hangs-up ?? Or must the Windoze and Linux be on physically separate hard
disks ??
ROMMEL
