Hello, I just converted from RH6.0 to Mandrake 7.1 and I am very pleased. Without a doubt the easist Linux install I have ever had. I do have a quick question though... while looking at /var/log/syslog I noticed this: Jul 13 18:05:30 michael kernel: sv: DMA buffer crosses 64k boundary: busaddr 0x4e0000 size 131072 Jul 13 18:06:28 michael kernel: sv: write: chip lockup? dmasz 65536 fragsz 256 count 65536 hwptr 29248 swptr 29248 Jul 13 18:09:12 michael kernel: sv: DMA buffer crosses 64k boundary: busaddr 0x4e0000 size 131072 Jul 13 18:14:35 michael kernel: sv: dma timed out?? Jul13 18:14:39 michael kernel: sv: DMA buffer crosses 64k boundary: busaddr 0x4e0000 size 131072 Jul 13 18:19:21 michael kernel: sv: dma timed out?? Jul13 18:19:21 michael kernel: sv: DMA buffer crosses 64k boundary: busaddr 0x4e0000 size 131072 These are repreated randomly throughout the log... any ideas what this is about? Thanks, Mike
