Most likely Partition Magic didn't set up the Linux partitions as expected by
Linux. I'd suggest you boot with a Linux floppy (or mandrake install CD) and
use the Linux partitioning tools. (ie, just have your Windows partition, and a
big blank area on the disk when you start installing Linux).
