Since two days, I have a strange problem with my cdrom drive.
UNDER KDE, the eject button on the cdrom drive does not work any more
and all programs under KDE seem to not see that there
is a CD in the drive ( except when I have inserted and
mounted the CD before launching KDE )
The funny thing is that happens only under KDE.
The CD drive works correctly at the Linux prompt -- and under
Windows too ...
My system has been running for several months whithout
any problems under Mandrake 6.1
Have you any ideas about what did happen ?
Hardware malfunction ?
Some CDE config files corrupted ?
Other ?
