Dear All,
I have a dial-up oddity. Since installing 7.1 I cannot dial up
for the first time after booting up in the morning with Kppp or
even wvdial; or rather I can dial up but don't seem to be able to
use fetchmail, lynx or anything else.
So I use a little shell script to invoke pppd and then when I
disconnect I can SUBSEQUENTLY use kppp or wvdial. Everything
works just fine.
My /etc/ppp/options file looks like this
lock
noauth
defaultroute
noipdefault
idle 1200
And my /etc/ppp/resolv.conf like this
nameserver 212.1.128.156
nameserver 212.1.128.157
Can anyone suggest what is going on here?
