I can try to give an indication in what direction you may get an answer
to your problem.

As I understand your hard drive, it has inodes with written data, but no
mount points.

First the command find may search every inode on the drive.
Second the commando grep may be constructed so that any type of written
text is a valid name.
Third every leaf under a directory contains the name .. and .

Idea; Mount the hard drive on hda1, but extend its volume to be the full
drive.

Search the full drive, per inode, till you find something that you know
belong to searched for hda6.
