in the 'find' dialog, check the box that says multi-file search near the
bottom.

there is a popup called 'folder', select 'other' to browse for a folder to
go through. it's very cool, you can search nested folders too and restrict
it to certain file types and extensions.

when you click replace all it goes through every file in the folder. test
things by doing a find all first.

Once you get the hang of grep you become data Superman ;-)

bbedit is one of the major things that keeps me on the mac as my desktop. I
have high hopes for gedit but it's not there yet.


for anyone who cares, the docs for mod_rewrite in apache have a great cheat
sheet for grep - a.k.a. regular expressions
