Hello,
I've installed MDK 7.1 on a system and I'm currently using an antique 15"
monitor with it. When using X (with KDE) I notice after 15 minutes or so
the screen goes crazy. I originally checked the screensaver settings, but
after setting those for 30 minutes and having this occur before the
screensaver kicks in, I'm assuming the system is trying to shut of the
monitor (which it doesn't support).
I've removed apmd from the startup/shutdown scripts and it doesn't appear
to be running. Does KDE have some internal power functions? I didn't see
any power off settings in the KDE config.
Any other ideas? Hate having to turn the monitor off every time I get up
for more than 15 minutes.
