Experts -
I am running mandrake 7.1 with kernel 2.2.17-0.16mdk.
I am trying to find out why I can't access my floppy.
Here is the line from my /etc/fstab
/mnt/floopy /mnt/floppy supermount fs=auto,dev=/dev/fd0 0 0
The line for the cdrom is similar
/mnt/cdrom /mnt/cdrom supermount fs=iso9660,dev=/dev/cdrom 0 0
The cdrom works fine with supermount, but the floppy doesnt
when i click on the kdelnk, i get the following dialog Could not list
directory contents
file:/mnt/floppy
when i try to mount using the console i get:
mount: can't find /dev/fd0 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab
i am ata complete loss as to why i cant get my floppy to work.
i have tried replacing the fs=auto with fs=ext2 and fs=vfat and i still
get the same problem.
i have searched on deja and i havent found too much in terms of a
solution.
Any help greatly appreciated
