PPPoE is like having a dialup connection to an ethernet device, in this case, your DSL modem. I also have DSL with PPPoE. There is a Linux PPPoE client that is infinitely better than WinPoet by Roaring Penguin that you can find at www.roaringpenguin.com. This client works great and has good documentation as well as RPMs. Also, I'd suggest dumping WinPoet on your Windows box, that thing is a piece of garbage. Get Rob Schlabbach's PPPoE freeware for Windows at http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~normanb/. Also, as a suggestion, you might want to check out www.dslreports.com that has all sorts of information about DSL and great ways to tweak your service. It also has lots of information about PPPoE that might be helpful to know. Happy hunting, Guy
