Hello, all:

I want to use /bin/mail to transmit mails generated by an application;
but I don't want them to be from the user that executes the script
(since that e-mail address is invalid; the machine is behind a firewall
and doesn't have a true FQDN).

I have already configured sendmail.cf to change the domain name, but
that's not good enough. I need to specify the complete originating
address.

I have read through the man pages for /bin/mail and I have scoured the
net for some time, but no luck yet.

How do I masquerade the sender as someone else using /bin/mail?

Assistance on this would be very appreciated. Very. =)
