Hi,
I don't think so. I'm using a Future Domain Scsi card with a scsi cd
burner. Also, I have configured my cdrom ide as scsi with the ide-scsi
option.
If I run cdrecord -scanbus the result is:
Cdrecord 1.9 (i586-mandrake-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2000 Jrg
Schilling
Linux sg driver version: 2.1.38

scsibus1:

1,6,0 106) *
1,7,0 107) *
That's means that for the system I have two scsi cards:
scsibus0 and scsibus1*.
Take care if the ide-scsi option is well configured.
Leo
* scsibus1 is an ide-scsi. The SAMSUNG ' 'CD-ROM SC-148F is a normal
Atapi cdrom.
