Hate to admit it? I think NS is crap. IE is much better than NS. If I could get IE on linux, I would. If you're looking for an alternative to NS though, download the latest milestone of Mozilla. And then download Galeon (http://galeon.sourceforge.net). Galeon uses Mozilla and it's pretty sweet.
