I am using LILO for a dual boot machine, LINUX/Win98. I went and
changed the default booting OS from Linux to windows. Now when I rebooted
and selected windows at the LILO prompt it loops back to the LILO prompt
again. So when I boot linux I get a Mounting error for my windows HD as
follows:
Executing /bin/mount -t vfat -o exec,nodev,nosuid,rw,conv=binary /dev/hda1
/mnt/win
*mount:wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda1, or too many
*mounted file systems
*return 32
I have ruled out that it's not a bad option or fs type. My questions are:
1. If it's a bad superblock then how would I go about fixing that in linux
with out formating?
2. If there are too many file systems mounted, how do I unmount them?
This may seem like an easy question for the expert forum but from the
scope of questions in the newbie forum, I believe I would be looking in
the wrong place.
I would greatly appriciate anything!!!
Sorry Man without Windows(Not such a bad thing),
Mike
