Michael, I recently got a great deal on a Compaq 7994, it is an Athlon 900 MHz, 40 Gig HD, CD-ROM and a CD-Burner. I added another 128 Meg of RAM for a Total of 256. Runs Mandrake 7.1 (developer install) with VMWare 2.0.2 (win98 Virtual machine) like a champ. I have to get a "real" modem but with the impending installation of DSL that may become a mute question.
