I'd like to know if it's possible or recomended to use PortSentry with an existing set of IPChains rules. I want to configure IPChains to DENY all well known services to external traffic and leave the moderating of the well known ports to PortSentry. Is it possible to do this? Also, I have already configured IPChains to provide MASQ services for my internal network, however, when I run PortSentry it blocks all of the outgoing traffice request from the MASQed clients. Keep in mind that I have yet to configure IPChains to provided firewall services for my Linux host, and that PortSentry is working in TCP and UDP Stealth detection mode. And please, if any of you know of any great IPChains links (besides the IPChains HOWTO) that describe how to set up a HOME internet firewall/router let me know!! Stef www.speedcorp.net
