OK, so I couldn't rebuild the kdebase-1.99-4mdk.src.rpm.  I blew
off rpm and entered the build directory and did it manually,
running configure with the --disable-fast-perl takes care of the

problem.  I then run make and it gets going for a while, then
craps out with the familiar:

Familiar, I say?  Yes.  The old "error in loading shared libraries:
/usr/bin/dcopidl2cpp" 
crap has shown its ugly head numerous times with previous attempts to
build kde.

Now I am stuck.  I can do nothing else.
