Help; got myself stuck very nicely.

I was trying to install IBM's Object Rexx on our main web server running
Suse 6.1. RPM said it needed GLIBC 2.0 and 2.1 components. So,
I tried installing glibc that I got from Mandrake 7.1.
rpm then said it conflicted with lx_suse . So, I did a stupid
thing and ran
    rpm -e lx_suse
which ran for a while, then said
   /usr/src/linux is not empty
which made me realise what lx_suse package was all about!

Now, it won't let me install lx_suse again, saying:
# rpm -i lx_suse.rpm
    /usr/src/linux is not empty

so, I cant uninstall it, and I cant fix what it already deleted, it seems!

I'm afraid of rebooting our server. I think it wont come back up
if rpm has deleted some stuff..
Help!

Many thanks, -turgut
