What does it take to actually get XFree86-4.0.1 to compile and
build rpms? I have tried XFree86-4.0.1-23mdk.src.rpm, XFree86-
4.0.1-24mdk.src.rpm, and the XFree86-4.0.1-1.src.rpm from
Redhat 7.0. The mandrake src.rpm builds terminate with slightly
different messages than does the redhat version, but there is
nothing informative there at all. NO errors.

With mandrake src.rpms, the last message is merely about
whatever obsoletes xtt, then...nothing. No binary rpms.
No error messages.

With the redhat src.rpm, it merely comes to an end with
a message about xf86cfg obsoletes XF86Setup. Big deal.
No error messages. No binary rpms.

What gives, eh? Anyone manage to build any one of these
src rpms? If so, what was your secret? Who do you have to
pay off to get them working? XFree86-3.3.6 builds perfectly,
as does every other src rpm I have tried, except Mesa-3.3,
which needs XFree86-4.x, so it seems.
