The only error I get is:

File not found:
/var/tmp/XFree86-root/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/glide_drv.o

This message is familiar because it appears every time I have tried
building
the mandrake XFree86-4.0.1 package.

In the dependencies for the binary, Glide_V3-DRI is listed. I went
ahead
and installed all the Glide_V3 rpms, including the DRI rpms, prior to
building, in case there were files there that were needed to create the
module. Doesn't matter, I ALWAYS get this message.
