Hell all, I need some assistance.. I removed win98 and installed win2000. I had been using PowerQuests boot magic to boot win/linux/beos but it will not work in win2000. So I tried to move grub from hdb1 ( where it was ) to mbr.. This works but will not boot win2000.. I get: booting 'windows' root (hd0,0) Filesystem type unknown, partition type 0x17 map (0x81) (0x80) map (ox80) (ox81) makeactive chainloader +1 I tried looking at " info grub " However on my sys, all I seem to get it the table of contents and not any of the meat.. In the meantime I did find a convoluded way of getting around this using a dos based PM Boot manager using a 100M dos partition.. Grub was installed with MDK 7.1 and I don't know anything about it.. So guess if it's installed rather than lilo, I should learn a tad about it.. :) Thanks Alan
