well that depends if it is in fat32 then yes you can resize it, and then install the linux partition, but if it is ntfs or hpfs then you are going to need to find a partitioning tool that can work with the nt based file systems, im not sure about nts system tools but win2000's will let me change the filesystem back to fat32.
